Filter Water Separator

Faudi Aviation filter water separators are designed to be effective and easy to use. They also comply strictly with guidelines set by international regulatory bodies. They consist of a two-stage system meant to remove free water and particulates from aviation fuels in refineries, terminals, fuel depots, tankers, hydrant dispensers and other refueling equipment. Another reason why Faudi Aviation filter water seperators are widely used is due to versatility. Different filters in the product range serve a different function, such as for use in commercial aviation fuel, military aviation fuel and military aviation fuel with an additive for thermal stability.

Clay Filters

Usually installed in front of filter separators, clay filters remove surface active agents (also known as surfactants) from aviation fuels. This is an important process as surfactants are often present in aviation fuels from refinery carry over, or cross-contamination in multi-product pipelines. When combined with the filter water separator and microfilter, customers can protect their aviation fuel completely from external particulates and contaminants.

Microfilters

Separators

Separator elements are used in the second stage of a high-performance separation in filter separators. After allowing aviation fuel to go through the coalescer, the hydrophobic separator surface is used to repel water droplets. When those droplets settle into the filter separator sump, they are drained away.

Dirt Defense Filters

Dirt defense filters continuously remove fine solids such as rust, sand and other particles from aviation fuels. They are a viable solution to eliminate the super absorbent polymer problem, and are intended for retrofit into filter monitor vessels. Dirt defense filters can also be used in conjunction with a water removal or water detection device such as Afguard, to ensure free water content in the fuel is acceptable for servicing aircraft.

Afguard

Afguard is a measurement system which supervises the quality of aviation fuels. It is primarily used for detecting the amount of particulate matter in fuels and to gauge the functionality of filter separators.
It works as a scattered light sensor, and is designed to provide an inline control solution for a variety of measurement processes. By placing Afguard sensors at the vessel inlet and outlet, our customers’ fuel will be under constant surveillance to ensure they are free from contaminants.

DP Switch

The DP Switch automatically stops the refueling process when the maximum permitted differential pressure for filter elements is reached. It connects to a mechanical differential pressure gauge, which measures the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of a filter vessel in key safety applications. Designed to be easy to retrofit, Faudi Aviation’s DP Switch easily adapts to all refueling vehicles to provide convenience, simplicity and efficiency.

PD Meters

Isoil Impianti PD Meters are widely used due to their high accuracy and repeatability over a large range of flow rate. They are durable as well, and can maintain consistent accuracy even after long periods of use. Some functions they can fulfil include aviation refueling, tank calibration, engine test rigs, proving other forms of metering and blending processes. Expansion Joints
